The work "Linajes y Blasones de Galicia", by Father Crespo, where the heraldry and the history of the family name Pulleiro appears, is the most important treatise of the heraldry of Galicia (Spain), and was published three hundred years after the appearance of the posthumous "Nobiliario, Armas y Triunfos de Galicia", by Father Felipe de la Gandara. Its author Father Crespo Pozo, had for his investigations, vigils and costly walks that were rewarded with the kind collaboration of Nobles as the Dukes of Medinaceli facilitating the archive of the Grand Casa Marquesal de Camarasa, etc. All this resulted in a plurality of sources of consultation that make the scholarly work, encyclopedic and illustrative in Galician heraldry. This work collects, as we have already said, the history and heraldry of family Pulleiro so the Pulleiro or they are Galician or linked in some of their branches to Galicia.

One of the most distinctive qualities of heraldry is the use of a limited palette of colours and patterns, usually referred to as tinctures. These are divided into three categories, known as metals, colours, and furs.

Next we are going to see the meanings of three tinctures:

* FUSIL: The Fusil is a symbol of Righteousness, Prudence and Equity and of the conveniences achieved through these virtues; it serves as a hieroglyph for those who gathered many goods using lawful and upright means.

* CRESCENT: The Crescent, of oriental origin, symbolizes Victory against the darkness of slander, and Emulations against inconstancy and fickleness.

* THISTLE: The Thistle symbolizes in Heraldry a heart nobly humble, but so careful of its honor, that it defends with its sword the luster of its lineage.

* WATER: The Water is a symbol of Enlightened Wisdom, of Virtuous Mood, and can also symbolize domain extension.

* HORSE: The Horse is considered the symbol of war, representing Boldness and Speed in Action.

* EAGLE: The Eagle is an emblem of Generosity, Magnanimity and Bizarre spirit, that from the greatest heights does not stop monitoring the fulfillment of the least obligations of his position.
