The work "Linajes y Blasones de Galicia", by Father Crespo, where the heraldry and the history of the family name Concheiro appears, is the most important treatise of the heraldry of Galicia (Spain), and was published three hundred years after the appearance of the posthumous "Nobiliario, Armas y Triunfos de Galicia", by Father Felipe de la Gandara. Its author Father Crespo Pozo, had for his investigations, vigils and costly walks that were rewarded with the kind collaboration of Nobles as the Dukes of Medinaceli facilitating the archive of the Grand Casa Marquesal de Camarasa, etc. All this resulted in a plurality of sources of consultation that make the scholarly work, encyclopedic and illustrative in Galician heraldry. This work collects, as we have already said, the history and heraldry of family Concheiro so the Concheiro or they are Galician or linked in some of their branches to Galicia.

One of the most distinctive qualities of heraldry is the use of a limited palette of colours and patterns, usually referred to as tinctures. These are divided into three categories, known as metals, colours, and furs.

Next we are going to see the meanings of three tinctures:

1) SABLE: Black color that symbolizes Prudence, Sadness, Rigor, Honesty and Obedience.

2) AZURE: Blue color that symbolizes Justice, Zeal, Truth, Loyalty, Charity and Beauty.

3) PURPLE: Justice, Wit, Truth, Greatness, Wisdom and Love; those who wear this color are obliged to defend the Prince defending ecclesiastical people.

Next lets look at the characteristics of some figures that we can find in heraldry and crests:

* CASTLE: The Castle, due to the superiority of its strength over other buildings, denotes Greatness and Power, used to defend friends and allies, resisting the enemy invincibly.

* ANJOU: The Chief of Anjou, belonging to Italian heraldry, represents a political alliance with the Welf party (derived from Welf, Duke of Bavaria) who were loyal to the Pope.

* ARROW: The Fess represents Readiness (for battle); if depicted with a cross, represents an affliction.

* EAGLE: The Eagle is an emblem of Generosity, Magnanimity and Bizarre spirit, that from the greatest heights does not stop monitoring the fulfillment of the least obligations of his position.

* LIZARD: The Lizard is a symbol of Fidelity and Hobby, for which it shows the man.

* GRIFFIN: The Griffin, half eagle and half lion, is an emblem of Ingenuity and Greatness.

* MALLET: The Mallet indicates War for the damage that it can cause to armor.

* WINDMILL: The Windmills and their Wheels are a symbol of Obedience, because they face the violence of the current and obey the movement that it prints.
