The first Vice-Master of Russian heraldry was an Italian. Under the Emperor Paul (1796-1801), since 1797 and for many decades, the Russian government accepted and published all the heraldic coats of arms nad family crests accepted and recognized. * APPLE: The Apple Tree symbolizes the Watchful Heart.

* ANGIO: The Chief of Angio, belonging to Italian heraldry, represents a political alliance with the Welf party (derived from Welf, Duke of Bavaria) who were loyal to the Pope.

* OLIVE: The Olive Tree is a symbol of Peace, due to the perennial green of its leaves, it also means Immutable Courage against adverse fortune.

* SWAN: The Swan, by the tradition that he sings sweetly when he is about to die, means Ancient Nobility, without stain of any kind, who dies courageously executing glorious undertakings.

* FESS: The Fess represents the Noble Heart of the Knight, into which no betrayal or disloyalty can enter.
